Scheduled Maintenance.

I like to see my customer's only when their driving conditions suggest I see them. As I have mentioned before in "The Annual Check Up" some customers only need to change their oil once a year, when using the new synthetic oils.
Most will not be able to get by with an annual maintenance program. If you drive over 10,000 miles per year you need to see us based on your driving habits. Frequency, monthly miles, current miles, conditions all play a major part in determining your maintenance schedule.

Unless your Manual says otherwise 5,000 miles is our suggested maintenance schedule for an oil change if you are using 100% Synthetic Oils.

Superior to Petroleum based motor oils if your car is not a vintage vehicle. We may do a blog soon on maintaining your vinage car or truck but that is for another time. Quickly, the benefit to synthetic oils is they are not subject to the rapid degradation petroleum based oils are subject to. So you will still be protecting your engine and saving money at the same time.
Another benefit to regular oil changes at Autoworks is that we check other parts of your car for fluid levels, brake wear, unusual wear on mechanical parts, too many to list here. This allows you to make decisions on repairs early in the failure cycle so that a small repair doesn't become a big repair. Additionally, you have peace of mind knowing that your vehicle is inspected by a professional every time you change the oil and filter.

Major components need to be checked regularly but there is no need for a special "check up" if you are doing regular oil changes with us every 5,000 miles. Here's why

Engine oil and filter changes
Transmission fluid
Fuel system
Cooling system
Engine and transmission mounts
Drive shafts or CV joints
Belts and hoses
Tune-ups
Electrical system components
Braking system
Steering and suspension system
Tires, wheels, and rims
Exhaust system
Undercarriage and frame
Exterior and interior lights
Body, glass, and mirrors
Windshield wiper system
Horn
Seatbelts and seat structures
Fluid leaks
Auxiliary systems

These are all items that get checked on each Oil & Filter Change.

Of course if you notice something that concerns you call us right away and we'll check into it for you

We hope this helps. Remember check back often to learn more about your car and what you can do to extend it's useful life.
